CALL TO ORDER: Grand President Lindner called the Supreme Council to order at 6:12 PM PST on December 18, 2000 on the Internet, in the #SigmaPhiDelta chat-room of the DalNet Internet Relay Chat network. Five members of the Supreme Council were present, and thus a virtual quorum was present.

1. NATIONAL DIRECTOR POSITION: Application has not been sent out to the fraternity yet. Dates will have to be changed to February 15 for the application deadline, March 15 for a decision and April 15 the Executive Director should begin working. Derek will update the application and get it sent out and posted on the web. We will need to set up a Supreme council meeting February 24 to interview the candidates. The application will be posted under the members only section of the website.
2. CASTLE: Has been sent out. Expansion news was well received.
3. THE STAR: Paul Lindner is writing the Star, he is waiting for the final copy of the ND application to include in the star. The Star will also include a solicitation letter. Solicitation letter should be sent out in November but is late this year.
4. INTERNSHIP: Online forms committee has not met but they have been working on a online version of form 7. The internship application has been posted for about 4 weeks. (Note: Derek emailed a notice to chapters@sigphi.org but it bounced twice, don’t believe it was received by chapters. One application was received by email and distributed to the SC. ) We will have to update the form again and make a decision in February because of the winter break.
5. RIP OFF TROPHY: Kappa chapter is looking for specifications to build the champions trophy. All province Counselors should make sure that the chapters understand it.
6. BUDGET: We need to find money for expansion, we have depleted the expansion fund. Keith is looking into corporate sponsorships. Paul will include a blurb on the web hosting in the Star. Also the solicitation letter will ask for money for expansion. Discussions on travel for National Director and eliminating the Joint Province Convention and going to small Province conventions. Other suggestions including a partial payment from chapters for convention fees. Ed and Paul will make a budget before our meeting in February.
7. TAX DEDUCTIBLE DONATIONS: We cannot accept donations to the foundation targeted for a specific chapter.
8. NATIONAL OFFICE RECRUITMENT: Province counselors form the committee with Mike as the chairman. All SC positions are up for election, except Exec Sec which is appointed.
9. CHAPTER VISIT SCHEDULE: Kevin Oldknow sent out reports for his two visits. He will resend Alpha report because of email outage.
10. EXPANSION: Target schools for 2001 are IPFW and IIT both in Ft. Wayne IN. Bob Featheringham will set up a meeting with the president of the university. St. Louis City Chapter, Villanova. McMaster is dead in the water
11. ALUMNI CHAPTERS: Twin Cities Alumni Chapter was approved, a Colorado alumni requested information.
