CALL TO ORDER: Grand President Lindner called the Supreme Council to order at 6:03 PM PST on Wednesday August, 2000 on the Internet, in the #SigmaPhiDelta chat-room of the DalNet Internet Relay Chat network. Five members of the Supreme Council were present, and thus a virtual quorum was present.

1. NATIONAL DIRECTOR POSITION: We will be selecting a search committee. The search committee will also be responsible for finalizing the details. The committee will consist of Paul Lindner (Chair), Derek Troy, and Kevin Oldknow. Paul and Derek will be asking the trustees to appropriate funding for the position within the next 60 days.
2. NATIONAL RUSH CHAIRMAN PROPOSAL: Scott Everett proposes a national director of rush for the fraternity to coordinate rush between chapters. He will work to document rush techniques and what works and what doesn't work. Make rush plans available to all chapters via the web. Paul Lindner will talk to Scott Everett to ensure that he has the time to fill the position before appointing him. We will vote once Paul makes the appointment.
3. STAR: Will be used to announce the National Director Position and seek canidates. Targeted to be ready on September 30, 2000. Will not put National Director Position into the Castle because we don't want competitors to know about it. Castle will focus on new chapters and colonies.
4. CASTLE: Castle articles are due to Burt Wagner NOW.
5. ALPHA CHAPTER: Alpha alumni actively meeting with actives.
6. RIP OFF TROPHY: Proposal to make each chapter have a rip off trophy that is worth taking, not attached to anything permanently. Idea is to prevent damage to houses. Chapters must notify the chapter they stole it from within a week. Must be accessible. Must be returned when the chapter comes to pick it up. We will vote on this proposal next meeting.
7. PHI CHAPTER: Paul had a telecon with the Dean at SDSU, there are still some issues to be resolved, but things are going in the right direction. Phi wil have an Open House at the beginning of the semester and invite the Dean and other university officials. Paul will be there for the open house.
8. INTERNSHIP: Keith Daegele to put forms online. It will be a database system set up for electronic submission of most forms. Keith will work with Ed and Derek to determine what is the best way to set it up.
9. BOOK SCHOLARSHIP: Program information needs to get out to the Chapters. Derek will send it out to the chapters after coordinating with Keith.
10. DEPUTY CENTRAL PROVINCE COUSELOR FOR EXPANSION: Paul appoints Dan Huber to the position of Deputy Central Province Counselor for Expansion, seconded by Chris. Approved by the Supreme Council. Chris will send out an announcement of the appointment
11. FRATERNITY CREDIT CARD FOR EXPANSION: Ed will research the feasibility of getting a credit card for expansion efforts.
12. CHAPTER VISITATIONS: Chris Perez to visit Eta and Delta in the fall and Phi and Epsilon in the Spring. Paul Lindner to visit Alpha, Phi, and possibly Theta in the fall. Mike Votaw to visit Chi, Psi, Omegea by November. Kevin Oldknow to visit Alpha and Theta in the fall.
